Chris Affleck, the mother of Oscar-winning actors Ben and Casey Affleck, has died at 83.

Ben and Casey Affleck ’s mother, Christopher Anne Affleck, has died months after she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

"Chris taught literacy classes in Mississippi during Freedom Summer, marched against the Vietnam War, and reveled in 1960s counterculture," the family said in her obituary.
